Default K4 reticles

Did a search for this, found nothing:

The Weaver K4 is listed as an acceptable alternative scope for several of the Vintage Sniper rifles (specifically the Swedish Mauser) but no specific definition is given for which reticles are allowed. I have always assumed that the fine crosshairs are the only ones acceptable, but others are available:

fine crosshairs with a dot
Fine Duplex

are any or all acceptable?

Also does the scope have to be marked "El Paso"?

Surely, reticles can't matter, CMP has allowed K4 so everyone can pretend in the vintage sniper match.

Solution: Rename the match: Scoped Surplus rifle match..cause that is what it is.

Isn't the entire premise of the match pretending? The "vintage" gave it away.
Come on, this has been beat to death, but here's the key:
What is on someone else's rifle will not, in any way, affect how or what you shoot.

OP, I would suggest emailing CMP at the address in the rulebook. I have seen some debate over the type of reticle, and the El Paso. Having the email in your gear bag will also serve to eliminate any local interpretation, which has been known to occur.

I asked Chris about scopes while inspecting a rifle for me at the GCA match in Talladega.

He said "All I care about is it says Weaver K4 and its the correct 32mm not the new 38mm (whatever the rule book says). Not an issue about El Paso markings"

Also said don't waste money on K4 "C" model because they break easy. No mention on the reticle. I can ask about that in 2 weeks.

It may not be relevant to the rules, but FYI the K4's I have seen on the M1D's were a tapered post with horizontal cross hair.
