Default CMP M1 Match Legal?

Is the Holbrook Device, as shown on this page, http://www.dgrguns.com/0-main-page-accessories.htm, legal for CMP M1 matches? Sure would save one a bunch of trouble and avoid the dreaded "M1 thumb".

I would say "no" for the JCG matches since the rifle is no longer "as-issued". From the current rule book:

6.3.2 As-Issued M1 Garand
The rifle must be a Caliber .30 U. S. M1 Garand rifle that was issued by the U.S. Armed Forces and be in as-issued condition. A Caliber .30 M1941 Johnson rifl e or a U.S. Carbine Caliber .30 M1 may be fired in matches designated
for M1 Garand rifles.

It would probably be legal for EIC Leg matches since internal mods can be made to improve functioning.

CDRT is correct on all accounts. In addition, it would be legal for NRA HP matches in the "Service Rifle" catagory.
