If I hadn't just had LASIK surgery 3 months ago, I'd be crying

Isn't that the truth, Sergeant Schulte is an amazing Marine that I have known for quite a few years. When I asked him to present it, he was very honored and kind of choked up too. When he came in, everyone knew what was going to happen except for Mom and Dad. When he stopped in front of Dad, Dad knew something big was about to happen, and started tearing up. When our Marine paused when he was rattling off the serial number, Dad was getting pretty darn emotional but our Marine choked it down and finished it off.

I have to admit, I was tearing up pretty good too!

Wow, what an amazing set of events.

Thanks all!

WOW...Typing through tears is not going to be easy.

That is the best video I have watched in a very long time. I knew how much doing this for your father meant to you through our PM's. Now I can see what it meant to your father as well.

Finding a needle in a haystack like this is incredible. You need to be commended for your patience and work as well as the wonderful lady who found it for you.

Like my Grandaddy used to tell me, Good job boy, ya done good!

My Dad, a WWII veteran could recite the serial of his rifle until the day he died. He could not always remember what he told me 5 minutes ago, but that rifle number, he had that every time. I wish this dumb ****** would have written it down so I could have gone on a hunt for it. It anyone knows of a way to find out an individuals rifle number please let me know.

With some of my inheritance money I did buy this. My first CMP purchase.

I only wished I had heard of the CMP before he passed and tried to do for him what you did for your dad. Great stuff.
