I bring an empty web sling. If I see one I like, I clip the sling on, shoulder it and keep looking with my free hands and then hit the window when I'm done. No need to re-rack, pick and roll, run interference or use the coffee tables.

Now THAT's a good idea. Are the store workers OK with it? Which store?

Thanks!

I think you guys are getting worked up too much about all of this. If you have been to the North Store in the last couple of months, you will find yourself alone a good part of the time. If you are the only one there, who cares.

The rules at the store change all the time, depending on how many people are present. Sometimes you can grab a rifle, tag it for the racks, and then change your mind and put it back on the floor. Sometimes, you can't do that, especially when it is crowded. You should always ask what the rules of the day are.

Usually if I have a couple of rifles, I will sit down with them at the tables so that I can inspect them. The light in the stores is bad and if you have a couple of rifles you are deciding on, you usually have to sit at the tables in order to see them properly. And usually when I go, I spend about 3-4 hours picking up every rifle in the place and taking pictures of some of them. So when I finally am done and ready to make a decision, I sit at the tables with them and check them out, partly because I am tired and partly so that I can see them.

If it is during the National Matches or during a special sales event, the rules are different and sitting at the tables is not an option. The guys at the North Store will let everyone know if you are doing something wrong. They don't need any more police.

North. Only thing they told me was "don't try and walk out like that!".

Look for the rifle at the end of the rack with the stacking swivel flipped up and the hang tag tucked between the front barrel and the hand guard then you know you have the correct one.

I take my pretty girlfriend and if I find a rifle I like, she holds it until I find one better. Then shes puts the one she was holding back in the rack and takes the new one from me..... The best part is she smells like cosmolene when were done.......... Even if I don't get a rifle it still works for me......

I agree with abeal, we've had the place to ourselves the last few times we've been up there. I try to go up about every 30 days or so from central Ohio.
