If I remember correctly, at first no one knew if that ammo was corrosive or not. It was priced as if it were corrosive, but most turned out to be non-corrosive.

I bought a few cans, wish I had bought more.

No, that wasn't me with a pick-up load. I was down with back problems when the AP went up for sale. I had to have mine delivered plus 4% sales tax.

In 2007 I did pick up 20 cases of HXP Ball.

When I first started shooting center-fire we started with approx. 20k rounds.

Here's the AP from CMP. 11 cases were SL the other 9 were AYR.

The HXP Ball from CMP. My poor Explorer was loaded!

I wish I'd bought that much. I still have most of what I did buy though.
I actually traded a can of the AP and a can of the Ball for a Mossberg 44 US that also came from the CMP.
