NM Colellector on Windows PC Doesn't Save Current Value Information

I have installed NM Collector Software JE on a windows OS (7 or 8). I've updated and have the newest Java updated and installed, and all prior Java versions uninstalled. The NM Collector software is installed at C:\NM Collector Software JE.

I have several entries for "firearms", and have tried to input for each a "current value" ($ amount) under the "Description" tab, then I click on Keep and Write. But when I come back to that entry, the "current value" always reverts back to either $225.00 or $0.00, no matter what I input.

How do we "keep" the "current value" information from disappearing?

Hmm - I do not know what the problem could be. Can you tell me which version you downloaded (I assume USB or Windows) and where you downloaded it from?

I think I may have found the problem. It looks like cmp.nmcollectorsoftware.com site downloads have been corrupted. I am working on correcting them now. I will post when the upload is complete.

If you used the windows installer to install the software you will have to uninstall the software using windows add/remove programs. The uninstaller will not delete your data. Your data is in the nmcswdb directory which remains after the uninstall. Please backup that directory (nmcswdb) by copying it somewhere else. After you uninstall the software download and install the new version I am uploading now and then replace the newly installed nmcswdb directory with your backup.

If you did not use the windows installer just copy the new files over the old files EXCEPT the nmcswdb directory. This directory holds your data. If you do not delete or replace this directory you will still have your data when you are done.

The replacement installers have been uploaded. I downloaded and tested them and they appear to be correct.
