If I was any happier, it'd be hard to handle. Can't wait to get started getting her range ready. Read somewhere it takes three to stack'em..
That is nice!
Hell , who am I kidding? That is perfect!
I hope I get a USGI stock on my HRA I ordered

Finally took my new (old) correct March '42 Springfield out after having it since early January. It was my first time shooting 30-06, and it knocked my 5'0" 105lb girlfriend straight on her butt. Really wish I had that on video.

My SA SG came in today. 3.1M, September 1944 IIRC.

Says RRAD 9-65
Muzzle @ 0, Throat @ 2.
Walnut? Birch? Hard to say. Looks a lot darker than my last one.

When firing bring the rifle up to your face. You have too much neck bend. You'll shoot it much better.

Default My meager collection

Here is a link to my little stash of M1's. Top to bottom:
1. IHC 5.1M (reparked SG barreled action from CMP around 7-8 years ago)
2. SG 5.6M HRA from the NS-2011
3. WIN 6 digit (reparked SG barreled action from CMP the same time as the IHC) Blondie birch!!!
4. FG 2.3M Springfield (need to finish the wood on this one)
5. Secretary of the Army Trophy 5.9M Springfield Garand (Won this in 2004 )
6. Woodless racker 1.6M Dane (picked it up from the SS around 5 years ago cause it had a set of Lockbars, lead dipped Rcvr heel, and a "2"ish muzzle. Not sure on the throat, but it shoots great!)
7. RG Greek HRA from back in 2003 or so (back when they were $299!)

Not much, but I sure like them!

Thanks for the tip! I feel like I did pretty good for a first time, blowing up oranges at 50 yards. It's my first rifle, and I'm excited to figure it out. Next time I'm out, I'll keep that in mind. Makes sense now that I think about it.
