Default Next build H&R M14

Just picked up my JRA H&R heeled receiver for the next Fall project build. Still have a SA and another Winchester in the pipeline.

looks good, i'll be curious to know how this build turns out w/ headspacing. what barrel are you going to use? i've got a couple of these to build up too. How does the underside of your receiver look? I'm kind of concerned about some bolt jumping in the welded tracks.

I have found that USGI chrome lined barrels index and headspace fine with these receivers as they are Bula Defense Systems donor receivers to start with. 1.633 - 1.635 seems to be the area they end up in.
The next three I have in the works will be using Bula GI profile 22" barrels for the initial builds. Barrels are very easy to change should the need arise.
The two I have completed so far have no bolt jumping.

What are they charging and are they supplying the Heels,I had a beautiful like new H&R kit I got from the CMP but built it up on a Fulton Reciever,I'd love to build it on one of those and use my other receiver for another project do they sell those on the James river site or is that a special order?

They are using my heels for these.
I would suggest giving them a call and see what they might do for you.
Price has been less than an LRB receiver.

Awesome so I'd have to find my own heels and call them and work out a deal to have them weld them up for me? I can do that I know where some heels are.Thank you for letting me know..

You might ask, they may have some. I had specific heels I wanted them to use.

The Winchester and TRW that I have completed already function flawlessly.
