Default CMP Grade A Parts Kit - Just back from Huey Gunner Gunsmithing

I don't know if any one here has used the services of Jeff Shapiro at Huey Gunner Gunsmithing in NY, but I have to say he does an amazing job. I recently purchased one of the Grade A Kits from CMP and I was not entirely happy with the quality. But I wasn't complaining too much because I was going to have the parts reparked anyway. So I sent them to Huey Gunner Gunsmithing and Jeff, blasted them, reparked them, replaced pins and springs, did the NM Gas Cylinder mod, modified the flash supressor to NM specs, NM mod to the trigger group, and rebuilt the butplate.

I just got the part back today and it was like Christmas. They looked beautiful! No I just need my barreled receiver from LRB

Mr. Shapiro does some fine work doesn't he. I got one of his NM gas cylinder assemblies and the work and finish were superb.

Jeff is top notch! He's done work for me in the past and I have always been extremely pleased.

I've also shot with him at Camp Smith as well as gone to a couple different gun shows with him. Good guy to have by your side.

You might want to e-mail him at jeff@hueygunner.com as he is not all that active on the forums. He's a pretty busy guy. In fact today, as he does on all Wednesdays, he's volunteer driving a DAV van to get vets to the VA hospital. Definitely one of the good guys.

Morning,

I can send you a couple of pictures if you like... He installed 2 barrels on 2 receivers, so there ain't much to show.

Jeff is a little "anal" and I mean that in a good way about his work. He's not happy unless his work is perfect. He did a couple of installs for me a year or two ago. I was planning to se part with it. These are all WWII barrels he's installing for me. He got them installed, timed and head spaced. He also did re-crowned the muzzle and did a little fancy knurling work to help keep the hand guards tight.

If you want some pictures, just shot me your email.

Jay
