Default Shoes

Hey everyone. I wanted to get a opinion on shoes. What kind/brand of shoes do you wear for outdoor use? Im in the market for some new ones. Something comfortable of course, but will mainly be using them for different types of shooting matches. CMP courses and some IDPA. I wanted something that has good grip on grass, wet or dry, and comfortable to be able to run in and just be on my feet for extended periods of time.
Thanks alot for your time and input.

Brooks Addiction Walkers. Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Not really "trail" shoes. For hardcore off-pavement hiking, Merrill hiking boots.

+1!

Merrells last a heck of a long time for many many miles. Very well constructed shoes. They seem cut a bit wider than most which might be a plus for some (including me).

I’ve run tactical pistol and rifle course in tennies. I prefer New Balance. Cross trainers or their hiking/trail shoes work well. They have a fit for any size foot and the soles tend to be a bit thicker which is nice for all day work. I currently use the MX857. If boots are required I recommend Belleville 700 series. Used them for many years.

Vasque Matrix II. Vasque, the great hiking boot company which has always been part of Red Wing Shoes, makes some great low trail shoes. The Matrix II is light, waterproof/breathable, and has a Vibram sole. Very comfortable for all day wear, for me.
