If I go through the paper work stuff is it possible to get a Garand, Springfeild with ser. No. over 5,000,000?

Also I was in the Army Guard and Air Force. Do I still need to belong to a club? Thanks!!

I know all I needed was copy of my retired military ID and passport. If you are active duty or retired then a copy of your ID. If you just discharge not sure if DD214 will suffice. Email CS and ask.

I'm not sure about mail order, but if you can to either of the Stores, they usually have enough 5 mil Springfields' to fill a truck with, and usually some real nice condition ones as well.

I think your 214 will be all you need with your birth cert.

I do not know why this came messed up.

Also an email to CS will verify that your 214 will be what you need.

I do not even think it requires you be retired.

Send off an email to: custserve@odcmp.com

Let us know what they say.

I will also do an ask bug "O" thread to see what he says.

I think you are good.

My guess at the moment is if you want a 5,000,000 #, correct grade will prolly be the way to go. No SG and even though the $1100 hurts a little out of the chute you will never regret it down the road. They are BEAUTIFUL......

Also a "stickie" in your order for a 5,000,000+ field grade Garand should not be too hard to honor.
As was said a correct grade is a guarantee.

This is correct, I had thought otherwise. Orest answered my question about a 214 and club membership.

Having a DD214 showing past veteran status does not meet the club membership requirement. You must have an ID card to be considered a "member".

I think there are plenty of SA Garand with Ser.# over 5Mil. When I was at the north store in July I picked one of the rack and its SA#5482885. I was at the "mad rush" at the south store Oct 5 when it opened at 0745 and I picke out a SA# 5858868. So I assume they are there.

Heck, if you get a FG by mail that ISN'T a 5mil you should be able to trade it here for one without problem, as anything else is either WWII (always popular), very early post-war (a growing nitch), or very, very late (highly valuable).
