Do not see any closing notices posted online yet, but do you know for sure if the SS will be open during the Games.

Also, can you confirm if they sells parts over the counter in addition to all the accessories previously mentioned?

Looking forward to meeting you and thanks,
Ed

Yes, any combination of 8 rifles per calendar year, but an exception is if they have 1903s or 1903a3s you are ONLY allowed one of them per year.

Thanks for the great report.

I'm hoping to go get another M1 here in the next month or so but, it's been a couple of years since I've visited the store so I'm out of the loop a bit. Can you explain one of your descriptions, please?

What grade are the SA 6 million rifles? I'm assuming the 6 million refers to the serial number but why the special designation? Are they rarer or sought after? How do they differ from the other SA rifles?

Are service grades still $750 and field grades still $650? Thanks!

The SA 6 million is in the last serial number grouping of SA M1s, some folks like to collect because they were the last ones, 1220.00 plus 10% tax..

WRA SG 950.00
SA/HRA SG 750.00
IHC SG 1080

FGs are normally about 100.00 less.

I was at the store yesterday along with my buddy Paul. Lots of familiar faces in the small crowd waiting for the door to open.
In addition to looking over the rifles I spent some time talking with Ben and Bobby on a wide range of Garand-related subjects. Ben is very knowledgeable on IHC rifles, which is handy when you have so many to sell. Great conversation for sure.

I did find one IHC that was pretty much complete, including a nicely marked IHC stock, but had an SA Trigger Group. It would be real easy to complete. Came close to purchasing it but in the end decided to pass on it. Second guessing that decision today.

In the end left without making a purchase. Lots of nice rifles just nothing that really spoke to me. My buddy Paul ended up purchasing a few of the bagged MRT marked slings.

Still a good day overall and can't wait till my next trip down.

Rob
