Yeah, I reached that same conclusion. They were priced at $750, not $650.

Glad I helped you find that A2, Tom. . I guess the M1903 Mark 1 w/finger groove stock and orig 1/1 barrel spoke to me more. ‘‘Twas a good day!

I only paid $650 for mine with a scant stock. Maybe I made out

You got a really nice rifle and I had never heard of an 1903a2 until you asks me about it and I had no idea what it was. Glad I purchased it and equally glad you purchased the very nice rifle you took home with you. It was worth your trip and thanks for the passing along on the A2.... We both had a good day at the CMP!!!

I will post it under bolt action rifle section and maybe J.B. can provide additional details from his inspection for me.

1903, 27, many be a few more next week, only a guess.
Way to go Tom. Another great find by being there at the right time for sure.
Glad to see the 03's are continuing to flow from when I was there with you and Laphroaig last Friday - hey Mahlon.

Although, with the forum being down all weekend it appears we have lost all of our threads on what a great day it was. So does that mean it never actually happened and won't count towards my allotment? Did someone say Twilight Zone??

At least I have you and Mahlon to vouch that it did actually happen. Not to mention a really fine 1903. Makes me want to jump in the truck for another quick trip over, but still recovering from the last drive alone.

Keep up the good work. You never know what you may find right!
Ed

All I know is on Saturday I didn't see a single C stock but every scant stocked 03 I picked up was marked straight stock and was $650. Also many with boxed RIA over FK.

First rifle I picked up was RIA 353188 with its 9-18 RIA barrel, very nice springfield scant stock with the aforementioned RIA FK stamp and a stipled buttplate.

Hey Colin,
It was nice meeting you for the first time as far as I recollect since we are both at the store frequently.

Tom,

Did you get a confirmation on the 1903 limit? is it still 1 per person per year?
