Default Friday Closing Report

There were 55 rifles at closing.

1903, 5 remain from the 10 rifles from this morning. There are no additional rifles available...

WRA SG/FG, 14 remain from the 20 rifles from this morning.

Other rifles remain about the same.

Good luck on your searches.

Went to Talladega Marksmanship Park today.

The M1C had some matching bases on the rifles. The Field Grade M1C look nice. M1D were Winchesters. Mostly on the racks were IHC field and service grades. I did not look at the ones in the rack behind the counter.

Did you ever wonder why photos from inside of the store are so rare?

Because they don't want people taking them for reasons yet to explain. I was at the new South Store the first day it opened, took photos & later posted them. They were immediately removed by one of the moderators with no explanation.

Bought a IHC field grade at Talladega today. They replaced the trigger group
because I noticed that a locking lug on the trigger guard was missing.
Just a hole where the lug should be. Replacement trigger group is all SA.
Has IHC bolt, gas screw, op-rod, windage knob, LMR 5-54 barrel.
Saved $30 in taxes over buying at South Store.

Picked up a nice wra today with what appears to be the original wra barrel. The rest is hra and sa. Service grade with a 1 muzzle and 2 throat. Saw Tom there with his lovely wife. A great visit for sure.

I believe it’s a matter of privacy...people were posting photos taken inside the store that clearly showed other people in the background handling and buying rifles, and I think those other people complained, so they simply made a “no photos” rule. Maybe a shopper got busted by their significant other after promising their significant other that they wouldn’t buy another Garand.

The Army requested this policy for unstated reasons.

1.) They could be removed for privacy reasons. Some people don't mind having their picture posted for the world to see and know where they were, what they were doing, and when they were doing it, but some of us do. Those who do mind have no say when someone else posts their picture without permission.

2.) They could be removed for security reasons. They may not want pictures that could aid theft by showing how firearms are displayed and secured, or how many staff and customers are present on any particular day or time.
