How about "Operation Overload"? Usually what happens to your credit card after a day at the CMP stores.
I usually leave early on Thursday, get to PC about 2pm, grab a room, tour the area, beer, and be at the store for opening Friday. Shop till noon, and back home by about 1930. I just prefer to miss the Saturday crowds.
Good hotels:
Sleep Inn at Rte 53 and Rte 2, Port Clinton. NRA discount honored. New and clean, lots of stuff around it. Easy back onto 2 for the trip to the store. www.putinbaysleepinn.com
Super 8 in PC, lots of food places around it, very near Lake Erie shore, good rates this time of year. www.portclintonsuper8.com
Whatever you do, it will be a good trip.

I still haven't figured out if i want to bring a change of clothes and crash in a hotel for the night and get to see what Port Clinton is like. QUOTE]

Strongly recommend getting hotel and dining at a couple Port Clinton favorites like Mon Ami and Jolly Roger.

Drive safe, make it home in one piece, and be sure to let us know how you fared!

Also, the off-season rates for the motel rooms on the base are pretty decent right now. Nice and quiet this time of year out there, too!

Well Gentlemen,

I had to bag the run in the 11th hour, As much as i want to maker the trip out there ($160) round trip), i then remembered they didn't hit me for the Clipped ammo, then i had car insurance to pay, and by the time i was left i had a meger 1,200 bucks, decided instead to drop that into my ever growing 5,000 dollar transmission.

But this doesn't mean i won't try again later this year(maybe when my diesel is back on the road), or unless i decide to go to college.

It was hard to make this one, i really psyched my self up on buying another Garand and sending it out to Tim to get cut into a Mini-G.
