Yep 7:30 check in time. This way we can make sure everyone is there and get started right at 8:00am. It is going to be a busy day and we really need to start right on time. By the way, a couple of people over paid or paid for more than one match date on one check. Because of the way the club/treasurer handles the money he needs a seperate check for each days events. The match that is after the clinic was included in the price for the clinic. Sorry that this wasn't very clear. So bring your check books in case you have to write a new check. Also you never know what someone might bring to sell at a rifle match so it is always a good idea to have your check book with you.

Also prepare for rain. Rain gear for yourself and a large garbage bag to put over your gear. We may have to have a rain delay but you might get caught in it. Typically we don't stop the match if it is just drizzling. We usually wait until the end of what ever string of fire we are on and then call a delay. If there is lighting or it is obvous that its going to be a down pour then we'll call a delay right away.

One more thing, bring your own coffee. Sorry but I am not a coffee drinker and I don't know how to use the old coffee maker we have at the range. Also be sure to bring a pen and paper to take notes during the clinic.

See you all tomorow,

Tom

Tom,

Just wanted to pop in to say we had a great time (even in the pouring rain) and thank you again for all that you and the club have done. Looking forward to the next matches on May 5th. I was too preoccupied with other things to try to put names with faces for some of the forum members here, but hope to do that in the future, as well.

Thanks again,

John (with the M39)

Thanks Tom, Kurt and others. My brother in law Kirk had a great time and is very motivated to do better next time. He plans on practicing his offhand a lot. At least the casino was fun for me. Hope we get better weather next time. I had to go out in the backyard and shoot the .22 after I got back to at least get some rounds downrange on the day. Look forward to seeing some of you folks at the next one. I may have some cheeseheads in tow if I can get them over their fear of being whomped by some Minnesotans. I've got a shoot at the guy's cabin by Grantsburg with some guys from Surplusrifle.com next weekend. I'll twist some arms.

Thanks again, Ryan (the guy who didn't get to shoot). And if you need a hand on the next one, just hollar. I'm happy to help where I can but don't want to butt into your business either so just let me know.

Thanks everyone from GRRC for putting on a great clinic and creating a great learning experience. I think I was more nervous about doing well in the pits and scoring than I was about shooting, lots of room for improvement on offhand!

Can't wait until the May 5th match

Oh and sorry I was late, I wish I could blame it on traffic but I just screwed up the times.

Thanks for the great time. I am hoping to get out there on the 5th too. I am with dronning on the pits. I get worked up in the pits worrying about giving good service too.

Who's going out for the match next weekend? I got myself a tentative kitchen pass for the morning.

We'll be there for the Sniper match, later on (but hopefully early enough to help with the pits, beforehand). Looking forward to it!

Hey guys,

Hopefully the weather will be nicer to us this time! Joop, I may take you up on your offer to help out. If you would be willing it would be easier to have you be a stat officer instead of helping in the pits. All you have to do is double check the score cards and write the result on the big score board. Its kind of tough to help in the pits once the match has started. But we can always play it by ear. See you all on Saturday.

Tom
