COLT 251015 was shipped in 1918 (Serial #s 233601-573000 (319,746) were all shipped in 1918).

Thanks bodydenny and DDRode for the info. I didn't realize they made that many in 1918. That was the year my mom was born.

So about to hijack my own thread ,but what does a Sedgely 1911 rebuild even look like?

Mine is in the 249XXX range. These were part of the large order placed in 1918. I'm guessing they probably never made it to WW I, but who knows?
