Funny story... I used to be in the Navy about 20 years ago. When I first got to the ship )USS Mobile Bay) we were out to sea and I didn't hear them announce they were going to be test firing the CIWS. I'm outside the ship heading towards the fuel spouts to do some maintenance and as I walk right underneath the CIWS they start firing. It was so loud and unexpected that it threw off my equilibrium so much I almost fell overboard as I staggered violently trying to regain balance....
