Default Thoughts on this Rock-Ola Flip Sight

Wanting some thoughts and opinions on this Rock-Ola flip sight. It has a lack of wear because I had the base and leaf reparked. Originally it was a darker finish that looked like someone took too coarse of steel wool to or fine sandpaper as it had fine scratches all over it. It does have some wear/damage that was mostly covered by the new park job. The leaf displayed wear down to the metal where it rubs against the base, so fake or not it was definitely used. The leaf is pretty stiff to flip back and forth, so I'm sure that contributed as well.

Is the placement of that square s okay? I've got a sight in my parts bin that looks good, however, the S is off-center similar to op's. Always wondered if original flip sites would have the S stamped off center.

Iíve seen the occasional offset S on original sights. They were cranking these out by the millions quickly, so they are almost never perfect.

There were no WWII flip rear sights with a sharp square top corners. This is an older reproduction, the newer reproductions have corrected this error.

Thanks for the feedback. I figured it was a repro, but thought I'd get it confirmed on here anyway. I'm looking for an original Rock-Ola flip if anyone has one they want to sell, doesn't have to be RR.
