Tom Reilly's XP-82 made it to Oshkosh a few days ago. Here's a walkaround video.

I'm still hoping to make it to Airventure, health issues permitting.
Getting old kinda stinks, in my opinion.

Forge operations for jet engines and aerospace.

One post on another site says the big press dates pre-war and was the only one that forged Merlin crankshafts until Packard got into it. Don't know about that but can tell you turn this vid up loud--it's impressive.

Leave to the military to pack 20 pounds of stuff into a 10 pound sack. This popped up the other day but I didn't look for any follow up on it. Interesting event The Washington Post
In 1945, a pilot vanished when he crashed his plane in the Chesapeake. Now, the Navy might have found it.

Thank-you for posting this. I hate all these websites that won't let you read or see an article unless you let them track you and use your information for God knows what.

They are a pain. This article predates the recent one by 2 years though. I was surprised that in 2017 they didn't name the pilot.

Thanks for the post. The WP was nothing but their crap wanting me to spend $52, I think it was, to read their paper on line(?).
Interesting story on the other link.
