Default German or Austrian carbine?

Picked this up yesterday. Know nothing about the Bavarian or Austrian ͏carbines. What do I have? Handguard is an IBM and serial numbered to the rifle.

Thanks. I donít know the value, I may have paid too much. I paid $927.00. The bore is perfect and less than 1 at the muzzle.

That was a decent price.

Awesome. When I get home, I can take more photos. Any idea of value with the limited photos? Thanks.

Just found out it came from the CMP as a service grade on May 1st, 2009. Paid $25.00 for the CMP letter.

I think you did just fine on the price. At one time I had about a dozen of the "Bavarian" carbines, all from the imported group in the 1980's....well before the CMP guns. The ones I had were all in beautiful condition, and well maintained. Some of my earlier ones were featured on Jim Mock's fantastic web site on these carbines.
You did well, enjoy it!

Will the CMP letter increase the value? Sandy said it was sold as an Inland service grade, not Bavarian.
