Default 40X, 22LR question

I recently aquired another 40X 22LR and can't find any information on this configuration. It is marked 'US PROPERTY' '22 LONG RIFLE' serial number '9xxx'. It has the standard Redfield International peep sight setup with Unertl scope mounts. The stock has a shorter rail for handstop rather than a long rail. The barrel is lighter than the my other 40X.

Please adivse if you have any information to provide about this configuration and possible date of manufacture.

Sounds like a 40X Standard barrell based on the 722 action, not a 40XB based on the 700 action.
As far as the date goes you have to use the barrell codes on the left side of the barrell just in front of the receiver. I,m going the guess late 50's though.

Sounds like a 40X with the standard barrel (about the same dimensions as a 700V barrel).

Please post a picture of the stamped markings on the left side of the barrel just in front of the receiver.
