Default chipped follower - return for replacement?

The follower (pictured below) on a recent CMP acquisition is chipped (for lack of a better term) on the underside. I know I can return it for a replacement from the CMP. The question is, does it represent a hazard such that I need to return it? Or would I be fine shooting the rifle with this follower installed? Thanks in advance for the advice.

I don't think that will cause you any problems it's not in a spot that is going to bind or anything. If it bothers you email cust. service and let Phil New the armorer know he'll send you another no problem.

It doesn't bother me a bit. I'd be happy shooting it like it is. My gut feeling was that it wasn't a problem but I just wanted to put it out there for advice just to make sure.

That shouldn't be a problem at all. Replacements are dirt cheap if it becomes one. Getting one for $10 isn't a difficult task.

Sounds great, I'll put it back together and take it out shooting with no worries then. Thanks so much for the help!
