Default Question on Magazines Markings in a Case

I just acquired most of a case of carbine magazines still in the original wrappers and the original box. Can I assume that all of the magazines in the case will have the same markings? If a manufacturer used different markings, were they all used at the same time or at different times?

Thank you for any information you can give me.

None of the prime carbine manufacturers made magazines. They were contracted out to sub contractors. These subs made the magazines with a marking indicating who was the prime contractor. All magazines in a given case would be the same. Now...this doesn't mean someone moved some around in your case over the last 70+ years...but it is highly unlikely!!

It also could mean your magazines were what was called repacks. New were taken out of their packaging, check for condition and then repackaged and placed in a cardboard boxes of 100. These would have been a mix of different makers. Those are the best ones to find as you never know what magazines markings you will find.
