Default Autoloader pistol Q...

Anyone own (or familiar with) .357 autoloaders? A Coonan is for sale locally, and I'm considering taking it - but know zero about Coonan.

Some reviews on MR Desert Eagles say they seem to have problems occasionally, that make their prices un-warranted.......

And, silly Q I guess; will .357 autoloaders handle .38? Or is lower-powered round not enough to cycle action
Gramps; O-6 Dental Corp
Dad; O-5, 5 SFG
me; lowly E-x, Med Corp

Did any Americans STOP waving their US Flags on 09/11/01, because their arms were tired from waving it on 09/10/01?

I purchased a MR DE back in 1986 and still have it. No problems with it. I purchased a Coonan back in 1992 and still have it. When I first got it it would occasionally drop the magazine. I sent to back to the factory. They fixed it and returned it. No further problems. It is a very accurate pistol. I didn't try 38s in it.

Why not get a Colt 38 Super? Almost the same performance and 38 Auto offers a lighter load option.

Just to let you know Coonan is out out business, and several people are out their deposits. Websites has said for months they are coming back, but contact info is now non functional.
