Default FS: (3) CMP Lottery M1Ds

Gents,

I offer to you three fine Garands at $4500 each OBO plus shipping & insurance.

All Sold; Glad these are going to good homes. Thanks

These are CMP’s Lottery M1Ds from CMP Sales almost 20 years ago. At that time, CMP Customers put their name in the hat (aka the Lottery) to have the opportunity to purchase an M1D Sniper, NSN 1005 00 674 1431. These M1Ds came with the accessories to complete the rifle. The accessories were individually packaged…it was up to the buyer to assemble the rifle. Some buyers assembled the rifles and enjoyed a fine, complete sniper rifle. Others left the items in the packaging and reserved a spot for the rifle in the back of the safe.

All three of these are unfired. They’re all wartime SA receivers. They all come with the original DD Form 1348, sale / shipping document. They all have the original inventory checklist of components / accessories that accompanied the rifle. They all have T-37 flash hiders and M84 scopes. They’re all sitting at an FFL01 in Fountain, CO awaiting shipment to their new owner.

Here they are with my notes on each:

SPF SA 727,954 (July 1942) Early SN. 1-52 cheekpad. No box due to damage, but the owner cut out the shipping labels and kept them. Nicest stock of the three. Exceptional scope. Sale price $275, June 95. Tooele inventory list.

SPF SA 2,424,725 (January 1944). 1-52 cheekpad. With original box. Stock has a hint of red to it. Scope looks new. Lightest park of the three. Sale price $275, August, 95. Tooele inventory list. SPF

SPFSA 3,622,651 (March 1945). 10-60 cheekpad. With original box. Tooele Star marked stock (millwork to improve lockup). Small accessories are unopened. Scope is exceptional. Shipped to original buyer about 10 miles from the International Harvester plant in Evansville, IN. Late CMP sales, Dec 99, $1200 price reflects price increase from the earlier Lottery sales. Sale / shipping document 1348-CMP1. Older looking inventory list (DD Form 1750), arsenal not specified. Comes with supplementary letter from CMP confirming sale. SPF

Transaction Details.
First I’ll take it via post, PM, or email is king. I prefer personal check or wire transfer to USAA bank in San Antonio. Given the high cost of these, I would gladly offer up to 90 days for payment and will honor first commitment. No down payment or retainer required, just your word. I may be open to trades, but it would be for something as uncommon as these. I’d prefer to sale. I offer a full refund minus shipping if something was not as listed. Buyer can pay me for shipping but I prefer you to pay directly to the FFL who will ship according to your instructions. I will ship the paperwork from my address separate from the M1D.
