Default Ballpark Value of Enfield Sniper (No. 4 Mk. 1 T)

Hey guys,

I have been shopping for an Enfield 4T and have been offered a 1944 BSA (M47C marked) in very good condition- minor dings and scratches, appears to not have been refinished at any point. The rifle is "right as rain". The Mk 3 scope and mount match the scope no. in the scope tin. The rifle has all the appropriate markings, as well as a 1918 dated M1907 sling, The rifle serial no. in the scope tin matches the no. on the rifle as well as the transit case.

The transit case is black with a white interior, which makes me think it was issued to the RAF. I think I have read that at some point, but don't remember.

The scope lens caps and the scope tin strap are missing. There is nothing else included in the package- no spotting telescope or compass, etc.

Could anyone give me a ballpark estimate on what would be a fair price for an all matching late war (1944) Enfield 4T? As a background I have looked around but have not found prices for no. matching rifles.

Thanks in advance!

Steve

Salter is asking 5 grand for a non-matched T.

My intuition is that non-matching rifles are selling for 4500-6500 depending on condition and other items included in the package, and Salter's seems in line with that. The deal I am looking at is for less than Salter's.

He has one half way down for $4995 w/ can and crate. Hard to find a more reputable enfield guy in my limited experience.
My buddy picked his up sans scope for $85 as a walk in at a gun show... I hate him.

Bought one as described with the exception that the bracket was mismatched but original for $3500 around a year ago.

The rifle serial # on the mount was done post-WWII. Does the rifle have the scope serial number stamped on top of the butt stock wrist?

Yes, and besides that, the scope matches the inside of the scope can and the rifle matches the second number inside the scope can. The bolt matches the rifle and so does the transit case. It's really a straight gun.
