Default 1911

I donít know how many of you check the bottom of the forum page when you login, but I just did. Yesterday set a record with 4,852. I guess they were trying to find their place in line. I was on here yesterday thanks to Gordon, rained all day and most of the night.

To see it, follow these steps...

1. Just go to the main forum page...

2. Then scroll all the way down to the last box, titled "What's Going On?"
Under that, it shows "Currently Active Users:" followed by the total number of active users with the breakout of members and guests in parentheses.
As of now, it shows:
Currently Active Users: 1470 (41 members and 1429 guests)

3. Immediately under that, it shows the most users on-line, and it's like a capture feature on a tachometer...it will peg the highest number. As of now, as letterman states, it was 4,852 on 9-8-2018 at 10:13 a.m.

4. If you look at the next block below it, titled "CMP Forum Statistics" you will see more data on total registered, etc.

You can also look at the total number of people accessing a particular sub-forum, like "CMP 1911"...

1. Click on the particular sub-forum, e.g. - "CMP 1911" or "Ask Each Other"

2. Then, scroll all the way down and at the bottom right of the page, it will show a header for "Currently Active Users"
Under that it will show the members accessing that forum as well as guests.
Right now, shows 30 (3 members and 27 guests).

For reference, we run a pretty steady ratio between 10:1 and 20:1, guests to members. And typical load during a day is avg 1,700 users.
However, since the 1911 program stood up, and especially since they started taking orders, it's running much higher...sometimes north of 50:1 and with 3,000 - 4,000 users.
With number quoted above, we are currently at about 35:1 guests to members.
And they are not all like-minded enthusiasts!

I bet most are posers with less than 10 posts asking for tips on their packet, "what's a 1911 vs a 1911A1?", will I get a Singer? or a plethora of other questions asked and answered 1000 times in the last 9 months. Yes........I might sound harsh but I'm "keeping it real yo".

Checked a couple of minutes ago. Us members are outnumbered almost 3 to 1 by the guests in this section. Over 10 to 1 over the whole forum.

Some of the "guests" are probably members that don't bother to sign in.
