Mine is marked LGK K 0058 on the receiver as well as on the other usual places also.

Mine came with a 3/8" x 1 1/4" slip of paper with the name "Berger" lightly stuck in the slingwell. I assume this could be the name of the individual the rifle was issued to. Did anyone else receive something like this with their carbine? And, if so, is this something unique to the LGK K carbines? Just curious.

403rdSOD,
My LGKK IBM came with a white label on the buttplate, not the slingwell. It had something written on it and it might have been a name; I do not remember.

My NPM Bavarian had a paper label on the stock with a name.

It also had a paper label on the buttplate with the last 3 of the Austrian number.

But for good measure, some dude had put his name in the wood on the front of the carbine.

So I am wondering (along with colreed), if other states stamped the receivers?
And if there are LGKK stamped receivers that are numbered higher than 0256.
It would be nice to know how many have the receiver stamp (maybe less than 256?).

To Fastbuck and Hugh.Sutherland - Thanks, that is the exact info I am seeking.

John1948, thanks for the response and it would be helpful to know which state (LGK_?) and inventory number.

Much thanks.

Gunnyson.

I have a LGKK stamped carbine. Are the numbers that follow that unique? Did they number all their carbines from 0001 to what ever? Mine is 0071.
