Not much to say. Have tried newer rifles, decided I was more into historic military type rifles. I came over to this site to try to learn more about the M1 and to hopefully start down the road to buying my first one.

Welcome! I'd say you're "well on the road" to buying your first Garand!
But watch out! They're like potatoe chips (pricey potatoe chips). Ya can't buy just one!

Default Welcome. . .

to the forum. One of the things I've learned about Garands, is I need to learn more about Garands.
Regards,
John

Welcome to the forum. Down the road you may want to purchase more than one rifle.

Yep....thanks guys!

I'm thinking an M1 Garand to start...then hopefully a M1 Carbine shortly thereafter! Don't tell my wife!

Actually, a M1A would be awesome!! If affordable.
