Josh,

By the same evaluation there are many posts that deserve this:

Let's be consistent about this.

Dave, I doubt some of our resident egos could handle it.

I would be for a system that allows both up and down votes of posts, and that those ups and downs are tallied toward a user's reputation.

So we vote reputation?

Never got the "i have xxxx posts..."

Since this thread is voting, I vote for "the system is fine the way it is"

On a related note, the "feedback" section went away because of some conflicts and controversy. The main issue was that CMP staff was spending manpower to mitigate disputes and sooth egos. Wouldn't adding a "like or dislike" function, especially related to some sort of reputation or rating system (like eBay feedback) also cause headaches for CMP staff?

My opinion of course, but let's keep in mind CMP provides this place for us to use for free, so anything that adds to their workload and does not add to their revenue (and thus to support the many CMP programs) is something I will vote we not implement.
I certainly see some value (to some, perhaps not to all) of a like or dislike type feature, but I can not see it working without causing additional CMP work.

On other forums instead of posting that you agree you just hit the like ,if you don't agree it is unlikely you wouldn't post why you disagree.

No biggie just have everyone do the +1 they do now, it is exactly the same thing.
