Default Leftover Carbine Parts

With the Carbine release finished, what is CMP going to do with the left over Carbine parts? Will they be retained for repair and use in the custom shop? Will they be listed in the E-store surplus parts section? Will they be auctioned off in lots or partial kits?

Some of us are in need of repairs for our carbines and this is a good opportunity to help us out by selling them to us - which helps CMP out by continuing to raise funds.

CMP will retain for an extended period of time to see if more Carbines show up.

For those of us who didn't receive a Carbine, will we receive a letter or email in the near future telling us that all Carbines are gone and that we didn't make the cut? My paperwork was received on 2/1 but I have received no contact from the CMP regarding the matter since.

Thumbs up

Over 8000 letters going out, WASTED $$$$$$! Ok, I'm wrong, I didn't know about the substitute offer that is being given in the letter.

I think they did the best that they could cinsidering the volume of orders they recieved. Let's see they recieved boatloads of carbine orders,Garand orders, orders for ammo and parts and did their best to get orders sent out. I can understand being disappointed for not making the cut but dang they had so much going on and no telling what happened behind the scenes.

Most of us would understand this as a "surge".

Bravo23:

Not my battle but the CMP is, IMHO, just using the letters to respond to the persons who have complained/ been asking/whining about not hearing anything about the carbine sales. Wasted money or not, they are responding to their customers.
