2,000 Carbines, 10,000 orders. We handled Carbines sales just like we have handled every sale. No way to handle things any different. We put items up for sale, we set the date, take orders starting on that date, fill orders until the product runs out, notify customers that did not make the cut. We are not building parts for NASA... We run a "Sanford & Son" type surplus parts / rifle sales program to fund our mission. No drama, no mystery, and no huge "think tank" behind the scenes that seeks out ways of making customer's lives miserable...

As for me, I thank you for the opportunity to try and get one without having to be near a store or compete in auctions. I will try again if more become available.

Hey Wolverine, if you have nothing nice to say about CMP, just say nothing. We don't need your negative comments here. The CMP did a great job, considering the very limited number of M1 Carbines they offered. I cannot begin to comprehend the logistics that CMP deals with daily. GREAT JOB CMP!!!!

I think CMP handled it well considering the volume of orders. I was happy to have a chance at getting one via mail order as the stores really aren't a viable option for me. And I wasn't one of the lucky ones but it was fun seeing all the reports from new carbine owners, many their first one. There were some really nice rifles sent out, that's for sure. Despite a few negative comments I hope the CMP staff knows they did a good job and we appreciate their work.

I can not say "Thank You" enough for the Customer Service and great communications that I have had with the CMP. While I never asked the CMP Customer Service folks about whether or not I was going to get a Carbine, I did have a question about the acceptance date (I had never been in one of these rodeos before).

I sent a brief E-Mail asking how things worked and to my surprise, got a quick response from Melissa explaining the how and why. This was on the Friday before the February 1st acceptance date. I think that she might have understood my slow learning curve and answered my questions.

So, as you can understand that I fail to see that there was any communications problems with the CMP staff.

Thanks again for the good customer service, keep up the good work!
