I will check the hole diameter. I tried some of the blanks w/paper cover at the open end......promptly blew the BFA off.

Once again I have been voluntold to be the detachment's weapons maintenance officer. They told me since I wanted them I have to maintain them.

Odds are you’re not going to get op rods. The parts available are extremely limited. The last post I helped had a guy they used to braze on a new section of op rod at the ends. Several of them had holes clean through in many places and functioned just fine.

Contact Tom Whitten - Camp Perry.

It's been a few years, but a buddy and I checked rifles at the Veteran's Cemetery in Houston, and Tom helped us get everything going after we submitted an inspection report.

I do remember Op Rods being in high need.

If you have the part number of the op rod, check Ebay as some are always for sale.

Yesterday Dupage was selling 4 rusty op-rods for $100. Would have been perfect for VFW rifles after cleaned up!

Iím talking about TACOM, not eBay. Parts for ceremonial rifles are few and far between.
