From the description on the auction site...they may not have a TE gauge?

The muzzle gauge is a 2+, and it is 22" in length fitting the length for the carbine barrels. However, the barrel has been modified to accomodate a newer sight and longer stock, meaning it could have been either a rifle barrel that was cut down and then modified or a regular carbine barrel that was modified. This rifle has good headspacing.

The length of the barrel and type of front sight have nothing to do with rust and pits in the bore. My question was "what is the condition of the bore?"

OP right below the "high bidder" is a link to ask the auction your question. Probably get a faster response.

<chuckle> That is the longest, detailed, well-intentioned non-answer that I have seen in a long time.

No offense intended.

On a few occasions I have found, after having penned a long & detailed response, that what I just spent so much time crafting completely missed answering the specific question posed.
