They received a pallet of XM3's on the morning of May 7, 2014.

During this time I was looking for rifle number S6533990, which is the rifle that just sold at auction a few weeks ago. My platoon had this rifle in Fallujah, Iraq and I'm the person who won the auction. I'm currently waiting for my buddy (the sniper who was issued the rifle) to send me pics of the gun during our deployment.

Steve Reichert also documents the transfer of the XM3's from the Corps to the Army to the CMP on his website - http://stevereicherttraining.com/darpa-xm3/

I have been in the warehouse these (and other auction items) are stored. It is a fenced in area inside of a secured warehouse. I can confirm there was a stack of these in that area. I did not take the time to count them , but 40 would be about right. Now understand what I actually saw were the cases. I would say it was safe to assume the cases were not empty. That is what I was told was in them.
