Jim,
There will be CMP Sales at the Eastern CMP Cup & CMP Games Matches. Sales will be available beginning May 1-May 6 with some ammunition being available starting April 27. At this time we have not decided if we will have a "Competitor Only" Sales due to the different schedule and different staff coming in at different times. I'll let you know if it changes! I look forward to seeing you at this years games!
Christina

As a competitor traveling from out of state, I would have liked to have shot both the EIC (and perhaps an 80 round match), along with the 4x GSVMM. Unfortunately the new schedule won't allow for this without additional downtime and expense on my end. Hoping next year the schedule can be re-aligned again. Still looking forward to the 2018 Games and am signed up for the GSVMM.

Good morning,

Just wanted to ask if there are still rifles available for sale at the Eastern Games and what time the sales tables will be open.

I live a short drive from Camp Butner and zipped up there today over lunch. There were probably a couple dozen rifles on the tables, and I could see at least three more standing in boxes in the trailer.

A quick listing:
(2) WW2 Correct ... very nice with lockbars
(1) M1 sniper setup complete w scope
(2) M1 drill rifles
(2) 1903-A3 ... but they didn't have tags to indicate what they were
At least 1 CMP Special
An HRA or two

Many WRA FGs ... had to have been at least a dozen. Didn't examine these too carefully. One in a USGI stock that was just oozing gooey goodness in the Carolina sunshine.

Three rifles in what I assume are the new hackberry stocks. Definitely not my taste, though some seem to not be bothered by them.

Most of the rifles, aside from the WW2's and special(s), seemed to have ME/TE in the FG range.

Not a bad selection if you'd like the chance to handpick, but nothing I had to have.

Nice CMP staff, as always.

It was kinda funny on the day the sales opened there were 20-25 people just waiting to pounce on the sales tables as soon as the word go was given. A few rifles moved real fast, maybe 12-15. They restocked the empty slots on the tables and those rifles were picked over and a few sold. After a couple rounds of this it turned into a bit of a staring contest between the staff and customers. The customers were waiting for the staff to reach in the box and pick out more rifles and the staff was waiting for more rifles to sell. A little bit of a standoff ensued.
