Default Which barrel refinisher?

I have a short chamber 1903 and a 1903a3 which fail the Go test. I'm leaning toward a Pacific chamber reamer. Are there any pros or cons for which manufacturer to use? Thanks...This will be my first time using a reamer.

I use Manson reamers for everything. Very high quality and definitely cheaper than most. My 30-06 reamer has done at least a dozen barrels and shows no sign of wear. I also have one in 308 that's done 4-5 barrels. I actually bought the 30-06 PT reamer used so I really have no idea how many chambers it's actually been used on but it's still in perfect condition.

No issues with my Manson reamers either. Have no experience with other brands. If memory serves, they were more affordable than Clymer and PTG as well.

If they are used barrels I would see if the bolts close on a round of HXP. If they do I would leave them alone.

I use Pacific pull through reamers. Go SLOW and use plenty of oil.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'll probably go with the Manson 30.06 finish reamer kit which seems to have everything I will need. My barrels are NOS from Remington circa 1944.

Thanks, snuffy1a

If it closes on a commercial round you don't need to ream.

He already said they are short chambered barrels that won't close on a Go. Obviously they need reaming.
