Default Help with my new SC 1903A3 is my barrel correct?

my SC had a SN# 3669187 and the barrel was made 11-43 would this be a replacement barrel? This Rifle looks new. it dose O.G. rebuild marking on the stock. have the NRA Papers it was shipped to a guy in 1957.

Not an expert but it appears the barrel date is late for the SN
I have SC 36526XX with a 3-43 SC barrel.

Your rifle is very highly unlikely fitted with its original barrel, especially with an O.G. rebuild marking. Does your rifle's barrel have 4 grooves? Please advise.

Thanks!

Yes it does have the 4 groove barrel. Everything is SC parts except for the bolt which is a Remington bolt which from reding in one of the books it seems that many armors took the SC bolts all because they would pop out a battery after firing. The rifle is all Original and looks beautiful I don't know how to take photos on the website anymore here

Please advise which book said the SC bolts would “pop out of battery”.

I wish to know ‘cause I shall avoid this book (and author)! —Jim
