I saw a guy at a recent gun show with one on his table for $3500. LOL

I spotted one at the local indoor range/gun shop with case, paperwork and all for $1800.

With the threat of being cut off by the CMP, any sales will mostly be local and not on any internet sight such as GB.

there have been and perhaps those threads were deleted off of here, but a search of gunbroker should show any with search terms of completed and CMP 1911

A Service Grade sold locally for $1250 or 1300. Not sure but I think he was asking 1350 and took 13. That's definitely not gouging.
