Surprised that HRA is still there though it does have a lot of finish wear. If it hangs in there I might have to rescue it on my next trip down..

So if sheís not marked as a USMC anywhere what other indicators determine she is USMC? Iíll never get to the store but the info would be good.

I've had a few ideas for a name such as Iron Freedom and Selfless Sacrifice, and I like the idea of a formal, respectful name...but we could just call him PING!

The yellow inspection tag is from the Marines. It has the same serial number written on it. I can only assume that it was in possession of the Marine Corps based on that tag. The stock has a "A" where the normal proof mark is a USMC rebuild trait.

I want to thank the gentleman who helped me pick out a rifle Saturday morning. I was able to take it out that evening and put a box of ammo through it and it shot great.

I was able to take it apart and clean/oil it when I made it back home to Texas on Sunday.

Iím glad I could help and you made the right choice on the rifle. Itís a really nice rifle with original barrel just needs a face lift on the stock OR leave it as is and enjoy the battle scars..... congratulations
