Default What does this do in my Daisy 853 ?

These little pieces of black plastic fell out from the rear of my rifle when I disassembled it. When I had it upside down taking the rear action screw out, I could see a couple at the bottom of the hole (top of the stock). I looked on the parts diagram but could not find anything in that area that looked like the pieces. Any idea what is it (was) and how important is it?

It kind of looks like a barrel shim/spacer.

I agree with a part being the spacer/shim, that goes between the barrel and frame. I also think there is a mutilated nut-stock blox, that goes on the rear takedown screw, in there. both of these parts are made from black plastic.

If you have a schematic and parts list you should be able to tell if you still have these parts or not.

On the 853s I have purchased, none had the nut-stock blox in properly and only one had the spacer/shim present.

I ordered replacements direct from Daisy, for very reasonable prices.

Thanks. I also believe some of the pieces are from a crushed barrel spacer and have one on order. The diagram that came with the rifle did not show one but Daisy has them in stock. Not sure about the condition of the part on the rear take down screw. There is a plastic part there but I'm not sure it is complete.
