Default Pls Help w/ Frt Sights Ty2 Brazed

I have two POB and two EU type2 brazed front sights. One of each has the POB and EU marked on top behind the sight post and the other two are marked on the outside of the right side ear.

What is known about this coincidental similarity of marking being delivered from two different manufactures of the same type2 front sight?

Which is early pattern? Late pattern? Most produced pattern? Least produced? Etc.

Thanks for sharing.

Underwood did send a limited amount of front sights to IBM marked EU. Underwood started using the fabricated EU marked front sight about January 1944 and used them till the end of production. IBM used the PO-B fabricated front sight through most of it's production.

Both marking locations were used concurrently, although the top location shows up earlier.

Thanks Brian,

Your input supports my intuition of top marking being earlier than side marking. I would then dare suppose (won't "assume"...old joke) that each manufacturer of the ty2 sight started with the same equipment, setup and processes perhaps as GFE and expanded production with the same type equipment and more efficient processes. This altering the final Mfr's marking location from top to side. Identical patterns of manufacture among subcontractors suggests very specialized equipment and setup with no other manufacturing equipment practical for type 2 brazed sight manufacture.
