Default 3-63 NM Garand Barrel

This 3-63 NM barrel came on a rifle I recently purchased. It's my understanding that there was no date code symbol on 1963 NM rifle barrels however this one has a heart symbol stamped on it. Does anyone know what the heart stamp means?

Default Heart stamp

Heart stamp defines shooting season inspection.
forgot what heart was ,but probably 1963 or 1964.
Respectfully submitted

There has been speculation for a number of years as to the meaning of that heart stamp. As far as I know nobody has yet to find anything that documents the meaning of this stamp. Back in 2009 Bob Seijas had stated that one of his "guesses" was that they may be "rifles refurbished at Erie after 1963 when the SA NM shop switched to the M14."
