I have two. The first one was in my Dad's parts box from when he worked as a USAF Marksmanship instructor at Lackland AFB in the early 1960's while carbines were still used to qualify the basic trainees. They were only used on the range for qualification training and not in the field. I know it is GI but as many things following WWII, it is not marked with any manufacturer markings. Several months ago, I got another off ebay and it is identical to the GI one I already had. I believe it is GI also. I have not seen these offered commercially. I followed your link and believe you will not be disappointed. They do work quite well and easy to put on and take off.

The brass deflector is not US. It was part of the West German BFA. They came in the country during the 1960's and 1970's and were never here in the US supply system as they had a different FSN system in Europe.

That seller had a lot of other interesting parts for WWII era guns. Not real sure you can't find better prices, but here is a link. Too bad he only had one deflector, I may need one also. But don't worry Al, I will not bid against you. Will wait until later.

For those interested, 6 pages of items.

Acera: I found that info when I Googled the item but I missed seeing it in the web page,I should have trusted Google and read the listing closer.

More info:
Sarco, Inc.
There is a $20.00 minimum on orders. All orders under $20.00 please add $5.00 for service charge
MINIMUM SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES START AT: $9.50

For a total of $22.45 if one can be purchased so EBay wasn't so bad.

Al, buy the Sarcos! I will cover 1/3 of the cost, and 1/2 if you can't find anyone else who wants one. Might even be willing to go in on 6 and split them with you.

But then again, that other ebay deal looks pretty good. LOL

Are you bidding on it? If not, let me know and I will drop a bid.

(I am worried about my left handed friend shooting hers.)
