Default Cheek riser for M14

I'd like a slip on cheek riser to put on my scoped M1A. The M1 lace on type does not elevate my face up enough. I'd like to find one with inserts so I can adjust height of my face up from the stock.

Please, if you've run this rabbit down the hole and have a good solution, please share that with me.

Thank you

Chased that dang wabbit for years. After trying all sorts of canvas risers I found the TAC-PRO that attaches with velcro straps. This thing is stable as the dickens and adjustable to fit my chubby cheeks. Kydex is padded with soft rubber on the underside so it won't mar an nice chunk of wood.

Take a look at Bradley also. I got one last year and they're top shelf riders also.

Or my favorite, dense foam pad, wrap in camo tape. Done for under $10

Years ago... 10??

There was a guy in West Va. who sold them. (I thought I had the site bookmarked but alas!)

Anyway he sold both soft and hard cheek risers for the M14 platform solely. The hard ones (which I have one) were molded especially for the fiberglass USGI stock.

He sold the site but not the rights to the molded risers... can't find the site must be out of business.

What was nice about the molded ones is they could be removed if you went back to irons.

I'm using a product from Gander Mt; McNett tactical Form Camotape, $8.95

Mossy Oak tape slightly higher at $10

get a dense foam from anywhere, even Home Depot, foam pipe insulation for like $2. Cut and wrap and your done. Easily removed.
