Default Who was the first?
It is fast approaching one year since my FFL turned my ugly black case to me and i opened it to see my RNG #1120 Colt/Rand. I did what research I could and learned a lot. I had to get home to know I had a Colt frame made late December 1944 Third gen Rand slide. Post war Colt barrel. My 1911a1 started the research for the single A rebuild stamp. Please post when your early CMP 1911 arrived. I am still amazed people are just getting their 1911s' and I still come here almost every morning. I look forward to the first help me with my ______, and DD is right there to guide them to the answer.?

As someone who just got their CMP 1911 a week ago, I was looking forward to the nice tan case, but to my dismay was a black case about the size of a briefcase. Oh well. I'm more than happy with the RR that was inside.

Yea for your RR. Sorry you did not get a nice carry case. I had hundreds of rounds downrange before I saw the new "nice tan case". Did not know what I was missing.

Don't forget, some of the first ones never received their RGN's and just received the call. And when asked what their number was were told they didn't know.

I did not know that. I guess that the earliest date on the Certificate of Authenticity will be the first forum member to get a CMP 1911. I guess I could cut to the chase and ask an Administrator when the first 1911 shipped then my curiosity would be quenched.

Received a call around 3Dec for my CC. Pistol arrived on 13 Dec. No RNG received and it was a colt/colt 1911 so at that point it didn’t matter!
