Default ANOTHER ugly Sarco story!

Hi All,

I took one more chance with Sarco! Yep! it is ANOTHER disaster!

I called because their ad in " Firearms News" mentioned they had repro canvas cases for the WW-2 Springfield rifle -USMC marked & the early WW-1 canvas cases for the 03 in stock!

Knowing Sarco's POOR reputation, I called & was ASSURED, ALL the items were in stock!
I received two US marked canvas cases - nice quality- BUT ---NOT--- what I ordered!
The WW-1 case was on back order 30 to 90 days! Cost me $12 to ship them back! They tell me they will cover my return shipping charges!

Don't think I'll be doing any more business with them!

IF you must buy from them, drive over or have a pal pick them up for you & ship them to you!

SAD people to deal with!

lived within a few miles of their NJ store for years + visit the Pa. store at times - the bad reputation is totally deserved - every professional gunsmith + serious collector i know refuse to deal with them at all or only as a last resort if no other source is available for their needs - 35 years ago they were a reputable concern , but no more -

Hi schutzen-jager,

Same here, lived north of NYC & would go there on occasions!
You may remember the gray haired guy (Bob?) at the check out counter in the NJ store. He always had a cigarette in his hand -would never even try to point you to what you were looking for!

I could find the same parts marked at three different prices with in inch's of each other. I have stopped in to the new PA store on a few trips up north.
Found the people working in the store to be up to speed & helpful.
We may be heading up that way in July!

i stop at Pa. store monthly after my collectors associating meeting - found no changes at all - very bad attitudes + junk merchandise + high prices - lots of reproduction stuff advertised as original -

Hi Fellow posters,

It's April 4 2018 today, got off the phone with the "fine" people at Sarco
The wrong products were shipped back on March 19-2018

Talked to a well trained flim-flam man that tried to double talk me into believing my order will be shipped soon.
Problem is the proper items are NOT at the store & have NO date of arrival!

I have to wait at least 45 days. He was VERY unclear when that period of time starts! It also appears it will take a act of congress for me to have my original cash & the added return shipping bill paid to me!
There was a bunch of talk about the involved process of getting a check back from them!
It appears they only wish to give me a credit on my next purchase from them!
Buy at your risk! Yes, they will out right -LIE- to you about product availability! I DID ask before placing the order!

Hi Fellow posters,

In the interest of fairness to SARCO..... I must let you know that I received two of the correct USMC marked canvas carrying cases(GRD347) today!

They were shipped PRIORITY mail too!

No mention when the other WW-1 style carrying case will be shipped!
I can only hope, it turns up soon.
