Default Ethiopian ammo....reloaded!

So with all the amounts of this stuff that was sold and the decent feedback including my own, I figured hey let's push the envelope.

Anyone reloaded any of the Ethiopian cases yet??

I shot some for function and chronograph. The spent brass is in the pile to reload as time permits. Before resizing, I plan to clean and gauge the fired brass and see how it compares to other cases I fired at the same time.

I deprimed brass from the chronographing. The Ethiopian primers are REALLY crimped in tight. Usually use a Lee decapping die, which didn’t punch ‘em all the way out. Had to go to the old Lee manual tool and punch ‘em with a mallet.

So far most of my cases dated 77 are the same...pretty tough in the press. The ones dated 1975 seem to be a bit more forgiving. Going to be working on round #2 with a few cases but so far the cases are very good quality and relatively close in comparison to Lake City 50s cases.

Ditto on tough to deprime. I just cleaned, deprimed and sized 150 or so. It gave my arm a workout. One primer was in so tight that my depriming pin punched THROUGH the primer. I tossed that one.
