Black Hornaday Brass

I came into some once fireed,black finished Hornaday 308 brass.
I've never loaded this before. Is it suitable to reload? Any different
steps to take?

I've loaded the 223 "black" brass without issue....... just load it.
(IIRC it's simply brass that has been colored is all).

Test it with a magnet. They have both black coated brass for some high end PD loads and foreign produced steel cases for cheap plinking ammo in the system! If it's not magnetic, you're GTG.

IDK they had both............ the 223 I loaded was clearly brass just darkened.
